Terry Albright Kenny was born in Martinsville, Virginia. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (B.A., cum laude, 1984) and attended Wake Forest University School of Law (J.D., 1987). She was licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 1987.
While in law school, Ms. Kenny served as Executive Editor of the Wake Forest Law Review. After graduation Ms. Kenny served as a clerk for Justice Burley B. Mitchell, Jr. of the North Carolina Supreme Court. She is a member and former President of the Gaston County Bar Association. Ms. Kenny is also a member of North Carolina Bar Association.
Ms. Kenny primarily practices family law, including divorce, property division, post separation support, and alimony. She also handles other domestic and general practice matters, including but not limited to, domestic violence, termination of parental rights, separation agreements, wills, powers of attorney and living wills.
